Michelle Chen is an attorney at Alpha Law whose practice focuses on immigration law and family law. She is admitted to practice in the State of New York and represents multinational companies, business professionals, families, and individuals in immigration and family law matters.

Michelle’s immigration practice covers employment-based, family-based, and humanitarian matters, including representation before U.S. immigration courts and administrative agencies. Her experience includes assisting employers with work visas and permanent residence for executives, managers, and key personnel; advising international students on visa matters; handling family-based immigration petitions; representing clients in immigration court proceedings, including removal defense; and helping survivors of domestic violence and other crimes obtain lawful status and permanent residence. In her family law practice, Michelle handles uncontested and contested divorces, prenuptial and postnuptial agreements, child custody and support proceedings, and equitable distribution of marital property.

Before joining Alpha Law, Michelle worked at legal aid organizations and in private practice, where she represented children in Family Court, advocated for immigrant survivors of domestic violence, and handled immigration and family law matters.
